Windows 11

Post by TranceMaker » Thu Aug 05, 2021 2:58 am

It's not clear if the R-Wipe & Clean is ready for Windows 11.
In the release notes for build 2326 I see some improvements and bugfixes for Windows 11, but in the system requirements there is no mention of Windows 11.
Therefore, it's unclear if the R-Wipe & Clean has been thoroughly tested on Windows 11 Insider Preview.

We're working with the Windows 11 Preview, but we won't announce support for Windows 11 until it's been officially released.

My friends tested the R-Wipe & Clean 20.0.2327 on Windows 11 with a test suite that intercepts disk and registry function calls. That is, nothing was cleaned, you could only see a list of what the R-Wipe & Clean intended to delete on disk and in the registry.
And it looks like on Windows 11 the R-Wipe & Clean deletes only junk and nothing that could disrupt the system.

My computer has been upgraded to Windows 11, but Windows 11 is still not listed in the system requirements for the R-Wipe & Clean. Therefore it's unknown if the current version of the R-Wipe & Clean was tested on Windows 11.

We have been testing R-Wipe&Clean since the beginning of August, 2021, and now it's in our list of supported Windows versions.

But Windows 11 is still not listed on the technical support request form.
