Cannot Boot To Resuce USB

I have created a rescue usb for my windows setup, i have secure boot disabled but when trying to boot to the usb i get a blank screen and have to reset the computer.
What am i doing wrong?
The motherboard is an /asrock Phantom Nova 870e.
