Post by Alt » Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:20 pm

R-Drive Image 7.2.7201 Sat Mar 16, 2024
Improvements
* Image replication process is greatly accelerated: the image file is now sent to all destinations simultaneously rather then to the main image destination and then from the main destination to other destinations. This is especially important when the main destination is on a cloud service.
* Working with cloud services now doesn't immediately stops with errors when short Internet glitches occur or services generate errors. R-Drive Image tries to re-establish the lost connection or re-tries to send data to the service.
* Display of the data uploading process to cloud services has been improved. It now shows that the data is being uploaded to the cloud service, the service being used, and how much data has been uploaded.

Bugfixes
- Operation progress remained on the application icon in the Task bar when the task was stopped. Fixed.
- The Execute On checkbox on the Options -> Notifications tab in a task lost its selection. Fixed.
- Several cosmetic bugs have been fixed.

R-Drive Image 7.2.7200 Tue Feb 27, 2024
New features
+ Support for cloud services. Image files can be saved to various cloud services and restored back to the local system. Google Drive(R), Microsoft OneDrive(R), and Dropbox(R) are supported.
+ Image replications. Multiple copies of the same image are saved during a single imaging process. One copy of the image file is created in the primary location, and then the file is replicated to other locations. Multiple copies of a single image file greatly improve the safety of the image.
+ Differential backup of files to a folder. R-Drive Image can copy individual files to a specified folder rather than creating an image file from those files. Files are copied differentially (only changed files are copied). When specified, files deleted in the source location are also deleted in the destination location.

Improvements
* When an old image file is replaced with a new one, the old differential/incremental files are also deleted.
* New icons for external USB disks.
* Logs now show which image was deleted in the rotation scheme: full, incremental or differential.

Changes
= R-Drive Image didn't delete differential/incremental images unless their full image was deleted, even if the age/total number of files limits were exceeded. Now it does.

* The dialog boxes about disk I/O and image file read errors, a report on the errors ignored by the user is added to the report on action results.
* Dialog box on mail send test. Now sent SMTP commands and received responses can be seen.
* More information is in the action result report sent via e-mail

Changed
= The startup version is based on Linux kernel 2.6.30.2.

Fixed
- SMTP response processing. Previously, some SMTP servers might refuse message delivery.
- Under certain conditions, R-Drive Image incorrectly created OEM System Recovery Media consisting of several iso files for several discs.
- A workaround against freeze of mounting point re-numeration for glitching device drivers.
- In rare cases when the size of a hard drive is a multiple of a certain number, the Disc copy action might end with the Unable to allocate memory error when a partition was copied together with the MBR loader.
- When a partition was being copied and the disk letter of the target partition was not specified, R-Drive Image tried to connect the created partition with the disk letter of the original disk. It could not do that because the disk letter was assigned to the source partition. As a result, the action ended with the Unable to mount the volume error in spite of the fact that the source partition was actually copied to the target partition successfully.
- In rare cases the command line version running under another account might not see a valid registration and worked as if it as in the trial mode.
- Two R-Drive Image programs (the old and new ones) appeared in Control Panel -> Add remove programs when R-Drive Image 4.5 was installed over its version 4.4. )

* Suggestive geometry translation is enhanced for small disks (<8GB)
* Now the partition structure is sent to the OS even in the raw hdd copy: system re-start is not necessary.

Fixed:
- Driver loading code is fixed, for example: Win32 detection might sometimes work incorrectly on Win64.
- Tasks scheduled under the system account never started in build 4400 because R-Drive Image started under this account treated itself as unregistered.
- Incremental/differential backup could not be specified in the script creation.
- Available copying modes were not correctly shown on the HDD copying method selection panel.
- Several GUI bugs.
