Why does it take so long to create a very basic image? It is a fresh image with only XP and Office. It's taking all day to create. Settings are all default except moved speed to the fastest setting. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe virus detection software?
And what is the specs of the system? Including the size of the objects to backup and storage device to store the file.

trying to image to an external usb drive. plenty of storage space. The image process works but takes all day. It's of no use to use if it takes 8 hours to create a basic image. Just wondering if this is normal.????

Surely this is not normal. 2 hours at worst.
