Backup image size

I am creating an image from a 2gig compact flash card of which about 900meg is used. The completed image indicates a size of 1.95gig.
When I try to restore the image to a 2gig compact flash card R-Drive reports that the destination is too small (1.90gig) Windows reports the cards size as 1.95gig.

Is there any way to reduce the image volume size?
