Unfortunately, I think, chances are grim for recovery. Read this help topic for details: Data Recovery on HFS/HFS+ File System. You may send me several small (really small) .mxf files, and I'll try to create a Known File Description file to use Scan for Known File Types.

Hi,

I'm trying to recover some .mxf video files from a RAID 5 20TB drive Mac OS 10.7.5 file format HFS+ . They were put in the trash and then the trash emptied. Nothing else was written to the drive.

I'm currently running the demo R-Studio recover over the drive and it going to take about 2 days so it would be great to get a likelihood of recovering those files before I wait out the two days :-)

One concern I had was that a .mxf file wasn't marked as a known file type.

Really appreciate any feedback/tips re this.
