My suggestion is that the file system is corrupted to some extent. It's impossible to say more without seeing the actual data on the disk.

HFS+: Start position of file is outside of filesystem size??

Hello,

I am working on recovering data from a drive formatted with HFS+ and I am getting thousands of these errors seemingly sporadically. I don't understand why it's the case because the preceding image completed with only 15 unread sectors total out of 1.5 billion. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Steve
