Extra found files means that the files have been found using Scan for Known File Types (Raw file search). They're by their definition are deleted files. You may read this article for more details: File Recovery Basics: How Data Recovery Works.

Hello

I attached 1 disk of a Qnap RAID1 array(the 2 disk reports bad sectors). After "Deep Scan" all files under
Recognized3 -> Extra found files are marked with a red cross.

I can't imagine that all files were erased manually before (see posts like http://forum.r-tt.com/post10214.html?hi ... oss#p10214 )
Am I doing something wrong?
