Yes, it is possible to recover Mac files on a Windows machine. Ther may be some peculiarities in saving specific Mac file features Apple Double Format.
Please, tell me exactly what does R-Studio say?

Recovering from a mac drive on windows pc?

I have been asked to try and recover files from a usb drive that had a filesystem crash. It was previously used with an iMac running OSX 10 Yosemite. I can scan it ok and it shows all the files that were on there previous to the crash, and in the correct directory structure. But when I try to recover the files, rstudio says it is unable to recover the files.

Is it possible to recover files from a drive used on a mac using rstudio for windows (7 sp1 x64)?
