R-Studio preserves file permissions from the original place. I would rather create a FAT32 disk/partition, if there're no files larger than 2 GB, or NTFS, if such files exist, and write recovered files to that disk/partition.

Recover Files -> File permissions "empty"

Hi all,

My ReadyNas Duo is "corrupt/broken" and I cannot load a new firmware on it whatever I do. I was running X-Raid.

So, I have fired up R-linux and connected one of the disks: Voila! All the files are there, great!

So I make a test by recovering a folder with subfolders. However, it fails.

I then see the problem. All the files are recovered with "NO" permissions at all (so basically 000). This works fine for individual files, however, when a folders is created (with 000) then naturally the files in that folder which are then added will fail.

Is there some setting so that I can make sure that all folders are created with 775 and all files are created with 664?

Thank you.
