Re: Why different Recognized Folders?

When Linux deletes files it does delete them - it erases irrecoverably a lot of information about them. Although some info remains, and it may be revealed during a disk scan. R-Studio finds them on the areas belonging to various partitions.

Why different Recognized Folders?

by moses » Sat Apr 09, 2016 7:56 am

Hello

After erasing different files (ext4fs), i did immediately shutdown the system and rebooted it from a Linux live system
and started RStudio.

Why are are some of the erased files listed in the folder "Recognized" and some other files are listed in "Recognized 2"-folders ?

Thank's for you help!
Moses
