Did you use the "Recover All Files" command in the shortcut menu on the Drives panel? If not, try to use it, it makes R-Studio recover all files without deep analysis of the file system.
Right-click the disk/partition on the Drives panel and select "Recover All Files".

2Gb of RAM is quite low for doing data recovery work. I'd recommend a minimum of 8Gb. Personally, I've 32Gb in my workstation but that's so I can be running several recoveries at once.

R-Studio likes to load the full filesystem structure into RAM. It makes the program fast, but if you don't have enough it can tend to crash. And Mac computers tend to have millions of small files so it's no surprise that it might jam up.

I'm using R-Studio for Mac v4.6 on a MacBook (10.6.8, 2.4Ghz Core 2, 2GB RAM), not much, but it's all I have available.

I have scanned the drive and saved the scan.

When I recover "All Files" it seems to freeze after finding 13,500 odd files, but the found files are way way over that. So is the application prone to freezing or is it busy 'thinking', the fan is still motoring, but the CPU load is negligible.
