Frankly, I don't understand the problem. Did you lose some files? Do you want to understand whether the disk is dying? Or what?

Using Windows 7 - NTFS File System
This Post may be Premature as have NOT run R-Demo yet.
Unknown how long Error has existed.
GREAT article on File Recovery - THANKS

FWIW:
Problem
Error Received
Ran Chkdsk on C Drive.
Received result of 12 Kilobytes in Bad Sectors.
See Image at End
HD Evaluation
Ran Western Digital Diagnostics
1) SMART Passed
2) Quick Test Passed
3) Extended Test Passed

Appear Hard Disk OK
OS Evaluation
Ran SFC
Returned with No Errors
File System appears OK
Questions
1) Where to go from here?
IMHO not a HD issue, but a File System issue of some type.
2) Unknown how long error has existed on boot drive.
3) Anyway to identify file and also bad sectors and also determine if bad sectors hve been marked as such.
