Yes, the Windows version can process all Mac file systems.
It's not clear without looking at your system why all buttons are greyed. Can you connect the disk directly through the SATA ports?

Hi!

From the tutorial on how to recover data from erased HFS/HFS+ partitions it is not entirely clear to me, can this be done with the Windows version of R-Studio?

The external drive is found by R-Studio but the Scan, Create Image, Open Drive Files and Create Region are all greyed out.
