Create a new boot CD. Select Configure startup media troubleshooting options on the Removable Storage Device Selection panel. Disable ACPI/APIC
disallow PCI BIOS on the Startup media troubleshooting options panel.
If this does not help either, create anothe rboot CD with the Dispaly startup kernel messages option enabled on the Startup media troubleshooting options panel. Write down the messages and contact our tech support. Please reference this topic.

Boot CD powers off the computer

by andershl » Thu Dec 25, 2008 8:36 am

I am testing system restore. Created an image of c: and a boot CD for restore. When starting from the CD it goes through 2 line mode steps: 'loading kernel' and one more. Then it powers off my computer. That's all. Tried several times.

From restarted Windows XP 'my computer' the CD appears as:
* BootVolume, 680Mb, 674Mb free
* Three files: cdboot.cfg, kernelcd and rdrive.fs

Any clue?
