Our article Creating a Custom Known File Type for R-Studio explains how to do that yourself.

If it doesn't support your particular file type, it's possible with R-Studio to create a custom file type xml file and use that. We've done it many times for customers of ours with files specific to a certain software. We'd just need 4 or 5 sample files to examine and create the custom search.

You may read the entire list of supported file types in the R-Studio help: List of known file types.

What file type are recoverable? All?

I scanned for recoverable files and see it only finds specific file types. The list is long but doesn't include my files-of-interest. I'd like to know that it will find my files before I pay for the functional version. Does anyone know if the types of files recoverable is limited, or can this software find anything that is on the HDD?
