That means that there are bad sectors on this area. You may stop the scan, save the scan info, and then continue scanning after the area with bad sectors. More on several scan passes is in the on-line help: http://www.unformat-unerase.com/Unforma ... index.html -> Data Recovery Using R-Studio -> Advanced Data Recovery -> Disk Scan -> Multiple scans
R-Studio accumulates the information from successive scans and keeps track of changes in this information obtained from different scans.
And you have to guess the size of the area with bad sectors.

Just a question on whats happening

I have lost a HD - Using the product i tried to recover the data i get to about 44% on the scan and i get an error ---

Read Disk F:at position (various numbers} failed after 1 attempts. data error (cyclic redundancy check} (23).


ANY Ideas HELP
