Yesterday, I installed '[b]Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit (2009)[/b]'
on an old system with the following characteristics

Before installation, I partitioned the HDD as follows,

C: 82.5GB (Used space ...GB) NTFS (Primary)
D: 66.0GB (Used space ...GB) NTFS (Primary)[/color]

1. I installed [b]Windows[/b] on [b][i]C: Drive[/i][/b]

2. I created an Image of the [b][i]C: Drive[/i][/b] using '[b]R-Drive Image 4.7.4730[/b]'
    and saved the Image on the [b][i]D: Drive[/i][/b]

3. Then, I tried to [b]restore the Image[/b], using every version of '[b]R-Drive Image[/b]'

All versions [ = [b][color=#0000BF]6.0.6002[/color][/b] , [b][color=#0000BF]6.2.6207[/color][/b] , [b][color=#0000BF]6.2.6208[/color][/b] , [b][color=#0000BF]7.1.7105[/color][/b] ] worked fine, except [b][color=#00BF40]4.7.4730[/color][/b]

i.e. When I tried to restore the Image, using '[b][color=#00BF40]R-Drive Image 4.7.4730[/color][/b]', it said,

So, [b][color=#FF0000]in this case, the result was in contrary to what I said before[/color][/b]

I don’t know why, but as far as I guess, in my previous experiences,
there was no '[b][color=#FF0000]NTFS System-Reserved no-name Active/Boot Partition[/color][/b]'
i.e. the [b]boot data[/b] was stored on [b][i]C: Drive[/i][/b], as [b]Active Partition[/b], along with the [b]Operating System[/b]

Anyway, '[b][color=#0000BF]R-Drive Image 6.0.6002[/color][/b]' is the only version that works for me, under any circumstances

If you try to restore the partition on which an [b]OS (Operating System)[/b] is installed,
[b]R-Drive Image[/b] says,

on your system or other already locked disk,

[ ] Force Windows to unlock the disk (not recommended)[/color]

Actually, you have only one option, i.e.

[color=#FF8000][[/color]•[color=#FF8000]] Restart computer (mandatory for the system disk)[/color]

So, '[b][color=#BF0000]reboot mode[/color][/b]' means, restoring a partition after boot
when [b]R-Drive Image[/b] must find storages and disk partitions, [b]independent of OS[/b]

In this mode,
Versions [b][color=#0000BF]4.7.4730[/color][/b] & [b][color=#0000BF]6.0.6002[/color][/b] show [b]all partitions[/b]
But newer versions ([b][color=#00BF40]6.2.6207[/color][/b] & [b][color=#00BF40]6.2.6208[/color][/b], [and now, [b][color=#00BF40]7.1.7105[/color][/b]]) show nothing
or show only the [b]primary active partition[/b], depending on the case


But, if by “[b][color=#FF0000]Startup version[/color][/b]”, you mean '[b][color=#FF0000]Drive Image Boot CD[/color][/b]'
I’ve also tested '[b][color=#FF0000]Drive Image Boot CD[/color][/b]'/'[b][color=#FF0000]Startup version[/color][/b]'
of [b][i][u]each released version[/u][/i][/b] [ = [b][color=#0000BF]4.7.4730[/color][/b] , [b][color=#0000BF]6.0.6002[/color][/b] , [b][color=#00BF40]6.2.6207[/color][/b] , [b][color=#00BF40]6.2.6208[/color][/b], [b][color=#00BF40]7.1.7105[/color][/b] ]
with no different results

What does that mean? "Reboot version". The Startup version of what?

In [b][color=#BF0000]not-reboot mode[/color][/b], all work fine ...

In [b][color=#BF0000]reboot mode[/color][/b], for years, I’ve tested them with some Laptops
including '[b]Dell Inspiron 15R (N5110)[/b]', '[b]Dell Vostro 1520[/b]', '[b]HP ProBook 4540s[/b]', '[b]Lenovo G50-70[/b]', '[b]Asus V502L[/b]'
or some PCs like '[b]Asus A8N5X[/b]', '[b]Foxconn M61PMV[/b]'

The versions [b][color=#0000BF]4.7.4730[/color][/b] & [b][color=#0000BF]6.0.6002[/color][/b] can see [b]all partitions of HDD[/b], in [b][color=#BF0000]reboot mode[/color][/b]

But in most cases, versions [b][color=#00BF40]6.2.6207[/color][/b] & [b][color=#00BF40]6.2.6208[/color][/b], [and now, [b][color=#00BF40]7.1.7105[/color][/b],] can see [b]only the primary active partition of HDD[/b], in [b][color=#BF0000]reboot mode[/color][/b]

All my experiences are '[b]Windows[/b]' based

The storage controller setting in the [b]BIOS[/b], is in [b]AHCI[/b] mode for Laptops
and in [b]IDE[/b] or [b]AHCI[/b] mode for PCs
