I'll try to find out what's happened.

Hi,

Thanks for helping.

I can make a startup usb stick in Linux on my W7 desktop.
But during startup I end up with a black screen with a forever blinking cursor.

I launched the W7 desktop problem with R-Image drive support on 24 Jul 2024 and only have a line of e-mail contacts until 25th August as a result. (enclosed)
No ticket number received, and I do not get the impression that frontdesk is very motivated to bring a solution or take me seriously.
They did put me on ice.

I tried to get a clear picture during the trial period in order to decide whether this program was suitable for my IT-environment.
I clearly did not succeed., but still bought the licenses.

I never crossed such a customer unfriendly Helpdesk.

What was wrong? You couldn't create a Linux-based startup disk or your computer didn't start with that startup disk?

And do you have the ticket number for your request? I'll try to understand what was wrong with your techsupport request.

I tried Unix but that does not work either.
Does somebody know why R Drive Image ignores a request for support.
I did send several reminders and I am waiting for feedback more than a month.

Apparently R-Drive Image does not have a functional Customerservice.
A take care of it yourself support, we don/ t care?

1. Why don't you use the Linux-based startup device? It works perfectly under Windows 7.
2. There are many other actions R-Drive Image can perform under Windows 7.

With that statement your Image backups are useless in case of a Desktop crash.
Without the startup / rescue stick you cannot start your Desktop to restore your image, software and files.
This is the essence of back up software.
With this software and an OS Windows 7 with a serious crash all is lost, despite of the fact that you made a image of your system.

They shoot not promote this software as suitable for Windows 7.

R-Drive Image works on Windows 7 except one thing: R-Drive Image may fail to create a WinPE startup disk.
