Just asking a question to start me down the right path.
hardware:
EMC ISCSI SAN
VMWare ESX 3.5 latest SP
Presenting raw mapped lun to 2008 64bit (non-R2) 2TB in size.
What happened?
Someone else mounted RDM at the same time because they didn't understand how it works, then SPANNED another lun in windows (also 2tb).
I lost my data as a result.
Question:
Since RS is being run inside windows and it is presented as a 2 TB volume, do I need to read up on any raid configuration. It all happens in the background before getting to the 2008 guest.
