Sometimes such slow operation is possible. The remedy is to try another USB box. We are trying to figure the problem out and solve it.
The R-Drive Image startup version uses the Linux kernel. Linux doesn't use drive letters, although it can display them. That is why they may have the same drive letters.

Slow restore with Drive Image

I have just purchased 5 new matching PCs, and I set up 1 how I want it, and intend to copy across the image to the other 4 PCs.

I did a backup to an arc file within Windows to a USB backup drive, took less than hour. However after booting up with the CD, and setting it to copy back to the new PC's drive, it says it's going to take over 24 hours. One weird thing I noticed is it seems to be referring to both the external and internal drives as drive C. I just used all the default settings.

Any ideas why it's taking so long? Thanks

Matt
