That happens because the file system on the disk is damaged and many files overlap. I'd rather use a movie editor to cut away the garbage from the movies.

I am having a very similar problem... my MP4 files are multiplying in size like crazy. For example... one of my MP4 files originally was 18 megs, now it is 1.18 gig. What is wrong this software. Due to size limitations, now I am forced to use a converter to a FVL size. This is time consuming.

In such case, I sort the recovered files by their size and check only those with adequate sizes.

I was afraid it was something like that. I checked some of the "recovered" Photo CD files and found that none of them were valid, so I'll just ignore those.

Thanks.

That's simple. Some files may overlap, which isn't good.

After scanning a 250 gigabyte disk, R-Studio reports 1.32 terabytes of Extra Found Files, 1.05 terabytes in the Kodak Photo CD category alone.

What does this mean?

Thanks.
