Is there a way to convert the image or should I just start making new images? Keep in mind there is alot of time involved in doing the latter.

I'm having the same issue, but with the bootable disk. I imagine I would get the same with the Windows version also.

R-Drive Image Version Issue?

I upgraded from 3.0 to 4.5 and now if I try to select a prior version image for scheduled image task or as virtual I get an error in upper right box of Image File Selection form. "Image file format is not supported". Does this mean I can not restore version 3.0 images using version 4.5? Or is something else a miss?
