Well, I think that particular file is not recoverable. What about others? If they are, there are chances that a data recovery professional could manually recover all files, but that will cost.

I did double click on the one file. That is when I recieved the above message.

Did you try search for known file types? That could help.
If yo have Excel installed on the computer, you can preview the required file to estimate chances to recover successfully. Just double-click the file.

I am using the demo to evaluate if R-Studio will recover lost data fileds (rows) in my excel workbook. I get a message "MFT record child's claimed parent mismatch, aborting". This could easily identify that the most recent saved version, which I cannot find, is a mismatch. I would like to know it is recoveable. But will it be?
