Thank you.

You need to specify at least 2 for the Full Image: option. When this number exceeds, R-Drive Image will delete the last full image and all corresponding differential image files.

Does this give you what you need?

Rotation Scheme: Simple
Imaging mode: Differential
Full Image: Don't Create
Maximum number of full images: 2
Maximum age of image files: 3
Apply quota: After imaging

Perform this task: Daily
Start time: 1:00 a.m.

The process appears to be working as expected except for the removal of old, outdated files. Is it a setup issue on my part?

I need to see the task parameters and the logs to identify the problem.

I'm a new user, hence, dumb questions should probably be expected. Enlightened answers will be appreciated.

1. I've created a backup task and it seems to be running as expected. However, I specified a maximum number of image file and assumed that old ones would be deleted from the disk. They are not. What am I missing?

2. I reviewed the log file and it references all the files as having been "restored". Is that a term that relates to the actions of the "differential backup" or am I actually restoring files, i.e. overwriting new files with old ones? Egad! :?:
