Finding a previous version of a file depends on many factors. Sometimes it's possible, sometimes not.

I had a video file in USB but I saved another video file of same file name at the same location that the former video file was kept. After scanning the USB, I tried to use R-Studio to find its previous version but nothing can be found. Anyone can explain how does the "find previous version of the file" works in R-Studio? It doesn't seem helpful as the previous version of the video file might be overwritten upon saving a new video file of the same file name.
