Better send me 3 video samples, please. Very short, 0.5 sec each more than enough.

Custom known file type: HDV Mac File signatures

by Eugene » Fri Jun 07, 2013 11:02 am

I am trying to create a custom known file type for HDV files on a Mac. My knowledge of hexadecimals is less than the 0's found in there. I am trying to parrot the instructions, but I have a sinking feeling that I will get nowhere very fast.

I parroted the following from the tutorial:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <FileTypeList>
<FileType id="128" group="Multimedia Video" description="Sony cam video, HDV" extension="mov">
<Signature>

Can someone perhaps help with extracting the signatures for me? I have screen shots of two samples of begin and end signatures but for some reason the attachments do not work - i get this message: Could not upload attachment to ./files/3878_856867b942a1ee63cfa61e7ce5a6317c.
