Did R-Studio discover the RAID?

r-studio on linux fileserver

Hello,
I have r-studio and made a bootable emergency cd for our linux fileserver.
The linux fileserver is a 24bay 3ware configuration with about 35tb data. Not sure if it is/was ext3 or ext4.
We were unable to access the filesystem after we did an fsck.
I am running your emergency recover scan but it's taking incredibly long time which I don't know is what should be happening or not.
For example, it has been running for a couple of hours but managed to get through approx 1gb data.
Also the filetypes we are scanning for is not on the filetypes list and not being sure about the filesystem (ext3/ext4)....
So the first question is, is this the right thing to do?
If not, do you have any suggestions?
Thank You.
