I usually recover through Windows using MacDrive. Will this have the same effect?

HFS AppleDouble format files. R-Studio treats them correctly: Data Recovery on HFS/HFS+ File System, the last paragraph.

I am getting lots of duplicated files starting with ._ after recovery.
Is there a reason for this?
