Contact our tech support with the problem. Having the scan info will make fixing the problem much easier.

Same problem here,

running r-linux
on ubuntu 12.0.4 / parallels desktop / mac

Loading saved scan file with no problem but "open drive files" loads only for 5 sec and then crashes.
Is there any solution to this?

There's a way to test that: load that problem scan info for another hard drive. If R-Studio crashes, the problem is with the data on the disk, if not, this is connected with the HDD, too.
Such loading will not harm anything, R-Studio never writes anything on the disk while performing such operations.

I've experienced this when using damaged drives

mean missing strategic sectors, that is why I'm asking if Mr./Mrs. Rasten is working with original drives or with their healthy copies.

Most likely there's something wrong with the file system that makes R-Studio crash. Please, contact our technical support with the problem, they'll help you with that.

Are you working on an imaged copy of the original patient?

Or are you working with the original drive?

Have you checked its SMART values?

Windows 7 Home SP1

R-Studio hangs and then crashes when loading a previously saved scan data file.
The target drive is 1.8TB and took about 24 hours for the initial scan.
The scan file is >200mb

Steps to reproduce:
Open R-Studio
Select target drive
Right-click and select 'Open Scan Information'
Select .SCN file
After initial load screen click the scroll bar (to scroll down) in the drives list

Results:
Program hangs for several minutes
Program produces an internal error report (already sent to support)
Program closes after error report is dismissed
