No, this is non normal. Most likely there are some bad sectors in that partitions that may cause the problem. I recommend you to stop scanning and save the scan info, and work with the results. Not much information are on those sectors.
If you cannot stop it within R-Studio, kill it in Task Manager, and repeat the scan, creating a region smaller than the disk. You may read how to create the region in our online help: Regions.

Hi,

this was my 3rd attempt to scan corrupt ntfs partition and for the 3rdtime it has stuck at 100% now for 8hours. Is that normal should I just wait for it to finish?
