No the USB is allways plugged in. So if I set in BIOS the first boot device = USB then R-Drive recue would allways boot. If I set the HD the rescue would never boot.

Thank you very much, I didn't know R-Drive is so inteligent to look on USB if there is something on it. I had to reformat it but not to NTFS but FAT32 and then it recognised it and made files there, I guess it will work now when booted if needed.

I have formatted my 16 GB USB key to blank with NTSC filesystem, but it is still not recognised by the startup discs creator. Should I format it with FAT32?

Not empty, paragon Drive Image rescue disc is on it, but it still have more than 14 GB free, I can format it.

Sorry I wasn't clear. It is a 16 GB flash USB stick. It is seen by windows as removable drive. It is seen in BIOS and I can boot from it. Hm, in help section I do not see that option. I am not talking about creating images, I am talking about rescue CD, can this CD be USB drive? In the program the only option is to make ISO image or record to CD, how can I "record" to USB drive?

Hm, but I will get new windows 2012 server in friday and has this filesystem (it is advised to use it). There is one competitive product (I won't mention it here) that has the support for making images of this FS.
