The XML file didn't work for me. After scanning 1.2 TB it didn't find a single .MTS file. I wonder if it is because mine is a Panasonic .MTS file and it might have a slightly different XML.

I'm scanning now. Will tell post what I find when it is complete. THANK YOU, Alt!

Thank you for working on this for us. I've had my server down for over a month and I'm hoping I can pull my family video .MTS files off before rebuilding. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

I too am having problems finding these MTS file extensions. In my case, they are from a Canon HD Camcorder which I then on a NAS which experienced some serious faults during a thunderstorm. If you need an MTS video file, I'll be happy to upload as well. Let us know when we you have created a profile ...
