Okay I've run into the problem again with the instructions.

I've got two drives which I will identify by the last 3 characters of their serial numbers: 0TB and RG0

0TB has the MBR at 0
Sectors Preceding: 63
but then it gets weird
Bytes/Sector: 190
Sectors/Cluster: 124

i'm sure those can't be ...

but remember, i've been running the raid on 2 of 3 discs for a couple weeks, so trying to use the third disk is going to force it to try to use data thats not being used.

and again, you only need 2 of the 3 discs to get all your data anyway, right? I mean obviously thats right because i kept using ...

Okay, i just scanned a very small (like 15 seconds of scanning) portion of the drives (as striped) and it has found a tonne of fully readable files, mostly text and 2/2 jpgs that loaded perfectly

but they have no filenames, they're just enumerated...

any idea why?

Most of the jpgs open (in Picasa) saying Invalid Image. Some of them have a working thumbnail, but the picture itself does not work... i'm not exactly sure how that works...

I actually just now had a revelation... maybe I shouldn't be trying to recover this as a raid5 at all... i should be maybe ...
