thanks, in the meanwhile I found out, that something´s wrong with the HDD as you already asumed. It seems to be physically damaged, so I´ll probably contact a specialist to recover the data.

thank you for the quick answer, it´s for sure a good idea to check the speed, but there´s no partition on the HDD yet, so I can´t copy anything. I thought it might be better not to create another partition on that disk for this might make recovery from the old partitions even more difficult for ...
