Ran recovery agent on the Linux machine, connected to it from the windows machine and was restoring files from r-studio running on Windows to a directory in the home directory on the Linux machine. I left the lengthy operation unattended, after some time I looked back and r-studio was no longer ...

Update:
I found the Linux agent and started recovering files from the Windows machine to my Linux server. The recovery crashed and damaged my servers file system. It was not backed up and now will not boot.
This just turned a problem into a catastrophe.

I have a damaged disk with a damaged ext4 volume. I've successfully created an image of the volume and can recover files from the image, but since I'm running in Windows I'm not getting the file permissions nor case sensitive filenames. How can I recover these files properly?
