Surprisingly, it now works. It still gives the error but the file type gets added to the list.

Error when trying to add known file type
When I try to add a known file type and hit Save and Reload I get this error:
I've tried to save to a different folder first using the Save as button but still not working. The file is saved on the disk but it doesn't show up in the known file types panel.
