Thank you for your detailed steps.
I have done all the steps that you have suggested
In fact, Macrium Reflect took only a couple of minutes.
So the issue is not related to the SSD itself.

Recovery time shown is greater than 1 hour
I wanted to restore from an image made earlier. The recovery process is shown to take more than one hour which is unacceptable as I used to recover in about 4 minutes earlier.
I raised a ticket and Tech support was less than helpful.
Their response was SSD is faulty.
Macrium is perfect.

Re: How do i distinguish between image types?
These images are from Rotation Scheme GFS.
I just want to know whether a given image in the scheme is an incremental one or differential one. The image file name is not clear.

Backup task taking the incorrect source disk
My task backs up my C: system drive to Drive X.
I replaced my System Disk for a new SSD.
Now when the backup task ran, it incorrectly backed up another drive Y instead of the new C drive.
I had to delete the task and create a new Task.
Is this behaviour expected?

Re: How do the retention rules work?
What I want to know is how the deletions work based on my settings so as to avoid unexpected results.
For example: If number of days daily images are retained is set to 1, what will happen?

How do i distinguish between image types?
There are a large number of images in my destination drive.
However, I am unable to differentiate between full, incremental and differential backup images in the chain of files.
Thanks in advance.

How do the retention rules work?
I am new to R-Drive and do not know how the retention rules work. Any pointers in this regard with actual examples would be helpful.
