As I understand, you have no experience in working with hard drive hardware. My advice is simple and final: go to a reputable data recovery software professional who has enough experience in working with HDD hardware. If you're interested in a positive outcome of file recovery rather than in the process, of course.

Can you elaborate, please? I'm doing this more for the experience and learning process rather than the data.

Hardware may differ from one to another particular disk even in the same HDD models, not to say about more subtle specifics.

We work on data recovery software. We cannot give any advice on HDD hardware repair.

I'm closing this tread, and I'll delete it in 2 days.
