R-Drive Image Requirements
Silly question but I couldn't find any information online. Do I need an external drive to create a backup? Should I use a SSD or regular HDD?
Re: R-Drive Image Requirements
You may use any disk visible to your system, provided that it isn't the hard disk you are imaging. It may be
* another internal drive, but if your system fails that disk may failed, too;
* an external disk, usually connected through a USB port. May be slow. An SSD is usually faster but more expensive compared to a regular HDD.
* a network disk, the slowest connection, but the most reliable.
