R-crypto container corruption?

While transferring files to an encrypted disk using R-crypto, I received an "I/O Device Error" and then it stopped. When I tried to reconnect to the container, it gave me a "Invalid encrypted disk file-container format" error.

Is there any way to recover from this or is all of my data gone now?

Looks like your container is indeed broken. Unfortunately, there is no way to get your data back in this case.
