Has anyone made an m4a template?

Post by admarsha » Tue Sep 22, 2009 1:19 pm

Hi everyone,

Before I go through the effort of researching it myself, has anyone here made a recovery template for an m4a file? This is the default format used by iTunes.

Thank you in advance!

What does "a recovery template" mean? A file signature to add to Known File types?

I think this file will add them to the Known File Types list:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<FileTypeList>
<!-- Search for M4A files -->
<FileType id="246" group="Apple Music" description="M4A" extension="m4a">
<Signature offset="4" from="begin" count="1">ftypM4A</Signature>
</FileType>
</FileTypeList>
