Error when copying with r-drive, corrupted image

Post by danigc » Mon May 15, 2017 3:46 am

Good morning, I downloaded the latest version of R-drive, a week ago
The copy performs well but fails the verification.
I changed the external usb disk for another, the fault persists
I made a CHKDSK on the local disk, with no apparent errors
I check ignore bad sectors and perform copy now, but fails.
I've check the event viewer without seeing anything strange
The error that I receive by email is the following:

R-Drive Image 6.1 (Build 6105)
Command: append /a /o -append-inc="true" -ignore-bad-secs -s="hdd_size=250023444480+hdd_num=1+hdd_target_id=4+hdd_bus_type=raid+hdd_name=HP LOGICAL VOLUME 0.00+hdd_port_num=0+hdd_vtype=real" -a="E:\XXXXX.rdr" -c="3" -u -check -bs -bs-size="3000" -ms="mail.XXXXXXX.net:25" -ml="******" -ma="XXXXXX" -mr="XXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXX" -mc="Copia seguretat" -mx -me

You have the -ignore-bad-secs option. Try imaging without it, maybe R-Drive Image will find a bad sector on the hard disk.
If this is the case, you'll have to check the drive against bad sectors.

What is the type of a storage device you want to image? A RAID?
And what is a type of the storage you are saving the image to?

Any possibility that external USB drives might temporally disconnect during imaging?
