The original disk is NTFS, It is difficult to find the files that i need as the 'Recovered#' disks contain between a handful and thousands of directories each containing only a few files. I had thousands of photos on this drive, and I thought it would be easier to recover as much as possible then ...

I accidentally began zero-ing a disk and cancelled it relatively early on. Its a 3TB drive and I ran the zero operation for about 30-45 seconds before cancelling it.
