Yes, everything was restored... partition by partition, as shown here:

1. Change the startup disk from the old SSD to the new SSD in computer's BIOS/UEFI and start the computer. The computer will load into the new Windows setup.

2. Run the Computer Management program and go to the Disk Management section.
You'll see that Windows has switched the old SSD offline ...

1) Imaged c: (system) on 500gb M.2 SSD
2) Restored image to c: (system) on 1tb M.2 SSD

NO ACTIVE PARTITION on reboot

If I enter BIOS and manually select new drive, system will boot
If I enter BIOS and simply 'save settings', system will boot

I have a signature collision and device not migrated ...
