no i tested a well compressible data like dll,text data files. tried dism.exe and wimlib-imagex.exe and backup image data reduced by 60 %
i also tested a full windows 7 backup with compression 11 and the resulting backup image is only reduced by less than 10% than original data
where as many Cli backup softwares free and commercial will compress system partition so well usually 50% to 60% reduction
i didn't test the compression using the gui yet,there is a chance that the gui compression work well but not the command line but i'm not really fond of the gui.
tried compressing virtual disk ,physical disk content no improvement.
using r-driveimagecl.exe product version: 4.3.2.2
after i downloaded the software ,i found that i'm using already the latest cli version which is: 4.3.2.2 and the latest gui version is: 6.1.6. 109
i'll try compression with the gui just for test as i will not use it for my tasks.
