preview files

I am scanning my drive right now. If I click on a files (Excel, MSWord, picture(.jpg) I can preview if the file is ok. Pictures do not show, document are not readable....Is that normal. Will they show properly when recovered. Also, the music titles are all mixed up. Wrong title for the song. Thanks

What happened with the drive?
