Hi R-TT,

Bitdefender has flagged your download page as being dangerous.

I think you should contact Bitdefender to get this cleared up.

Thanks!

Hi,

It has been two weeks and this is still happening.

Are your admins not planning to contact Bitdefender to get the webpage whitelisted/resolve this issue?

Thanks!

I've been using R-Wipe & Clean for many years and sometimes I've encountered this myself.
You can fix this issue yourself:

Protection > Online Threat Prevention > Settings > Exceptions > Manage exceptions

Hi,

Thanks and, yes, I know but I much prefer that these things be globally resolved at the site level rather than individually at the end user level.

I've been using R-Wipe & Clean for many years, too, but the paranoia in me is concerned about whitelisting a web page and then one day that page is hacked/gets infected.

But the issue has now been resolved and I can download the latest versions again! Hooray! :D

Antivirus software often identifies cleaners as malware. I think that R-Tools Technology Inc is unlikely to be able to solve this problem at the site level.

If you want to be sure that the R-Wipe & Clean's installer has not been modified after being posted on the site, you can check its digital signature:

If the contents of the installer have been modified since it was signed, you will see this:

Of course, technically an original digital signature can be forged. But it's said that it's a complicated process, and if the program is updated frequently, it's unlikely anyone will do it.

Chrome and Edge are updated almost every week. Based on the Customize window, R-Wipe & Clean probably supports over 400 apps. So, it's obvious that every week an update of some application is released.
Therefore, updating such cleaner every three weeks is not serious. The R-Wipe & Clean should obviously be updated every week.
