R-Studio for Linux VS R-Linux

Post by jeancayron » Mon Mar 07, 2011 7:57 am

Hello,

I'd like to know what are the differences between R-Studio for Linux and R-Linux, except that R-Studio is not free and that it can run under Linux.
Can I recover files removed with the command rm with R-Linux?
What's the advantage of R-Studio over R-Linux ?

On your website, it's unclear.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jean

R-Linux is a free application that can recover files from ext2/3/4fs partitions. In addition, there are a simple text/hexadecimal editor and image creation module. R-Linux doesn't support RAIDs and other compound volumes, object copy, custom-defined known file types, ans so on. Currently, there is a Windows version of R-Linux, but we're planning to launch a Linux version of R-Linux, too. So, if you need to recover files from your Linux desktop or note/netbook, R-Linux is the best choice.

R-Studio for Linux is a Linux-run variant of our full-featured data recovery flagship software. It's not free, but able to perform the most demanding data recovery task a data recovery professional could ever imagine. And, of course, it supports not only Linux file systems, but Windows and Mac OS file systems, too.
