R-Studio won't complete scan, closes w/o saving scan info

I'm trying to use the demo version to scan a disk that has data on a messed up NTFS partition. I have tried to scan it twice, and both times it nearly completes the scan but then R-Studio program just closes by itself without saving scan information.

It should at least show me a list of files if finds, and give me the option to save scan info so I can recover the files later after I purchase the program, right?

I can't see buying it unless I know that it will function properly, and at this time it seems pretty useless...
